Terms of Use

The  General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post in the Ministry of Digital Policy Telecommunications and Media provides its web portal for use under the following terms, which the visitor/user of the web portal is requested to read carefully and should access/use the web pages/applications of the Ministry provided he/she fully accepts them. Any use implies acceptance of these terms.

All the content of the internet portal, apart from explicitly specified exceptions (intellectual property of third parties), consisting, for example, of texts, graphics, images, photographs, drawings, videos, sounds, etc. (hereinafter ‘the content’), constitutes the intellectual property, trademarks and departmental logos of the General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post in the Ministry of Digital Policy Telecommunications and Media, and in some cases of the Greek state, and is protected by the national, community and international legislation in force. Therefore none of the above may be, in whole or in part, modified, sold or commercialized in general. An exception is made in the case of the isolated storing of one single copy of part of the content on a simple PC, for personal, not for commercial or public use, and without deletion of the indication of its source, the relevant intellectual property rights in no way being compromised thereby.

The other products and services referred to on the pages of this internet portal bearing the logos of the relevant organizations, companies, collaborating agencies, associations or publications, are their own intellectual and industrial property and thus these agencies bear the appropriate responsibility.

Reproduction of content is permitted provided that the source is cited, unless otherwise specified.

When prior authorization is required for the reproduction or use of text or multimedia data (sound, image, software, etc.), this requirement will supersede the above general authorization and will precisely specify any limitations on use.

General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post in the Ministry of Digital Policy Telecommunications and Media takes all necessary measures to ensure the smooth operation of the portal. However it cannot accept liability for any adverse consequence or damage sustained by the user of the portal from use or inability to use the portal, from delays in use, from errors or omissions on the portal, from interruptions to telephone connections, breakdowns in the power supply or any other causes.

General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post in the Ministry of Digital Policy Telecommunications and Media takes all necessary measures to ensure the accuracy of the information published on the portal. However, it cannot accept liability for any spelling or other mistakes which may occur in re-publication of the information in question, or for any adverse consequence or damage sustained by users of the portal as a result of using this information.

General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post in the Ministry of Digital Policy Telecommunications and Media cannot guarantee that the pages, services, options and content of the portal will be available without interruption and without error, or that errors will be corrected. Nor can it guarantee that the servers through which the portal is made available to visitors/users will not contain viruses or other harmful content.

General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post in the Ministry of Digital Policy Telecommunications and Media cannot accept liability for the availability, content, personal data protection policy or quality of the services of other internet sites to which the user may have access using links from its own portal.

General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post in the Ministry of Digital Policy Telecommunications and Media reserves the right to lawfully amend the content of its internet portal, with or without prior notice to visitors/users.

Management and protection of the personal data of the visitor/user of the portal are subject to the terms of this notice and to the provisions of national, community and international law in force at any time on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

Any relevant future regulation will also be covered by this notice. In all circumstances the administrator reserves the right to modify the terms governing protection of personal data, in accordance with the relevant legal framework in force at any time.
